Choose a washer for bedding using the manufacturer’s permitted load type and dry weight, drum space and suitable cycles.
Quick answer
Choose a washer for bedding using the manufacturer’s permitted load type and dry weight, drum space and suitable cycles. A large blanket must move freely when wet; a nominal kilogram rating does not mean every bulky item fits safely.

What to compare before buying
Measure the bedding, not just household size
A single bedsheet is different from a heavy king-size comforter. Check the care label and whether home washing is allowed. Compare the washer manual’s blanket or bulky-item guidance for the exact model.
Leave room for movement
Stuffing a drum can prevent rinsing, unbalance the load and strain components. Distribute bedding evenly and avoid mixing a heavy blanket with small garments that can become trapped. Use the advised spin speed for the fabric.
Plan drying before washing
In monsoon weather, thick bedding may take time to dry completely. Assess a sheltered drying area or an approved dryer. Wash only loads that can be dried promptly and thoroughly so damp storage does not create odour.

Complete these checks before you pay
- Measure twice: record the product space, doorway, staircase or lift, ventilation, door swing and connection points.
- Compare exact models: check capacity, current energy information, included accessories, warranty and model number.
- Clarify installation: ask what standard installation includes and list any pipes, brackets, wiring or plumbing charged separately.
- Protect the paperwork: keep the tax invoice, serial number, delivery note, warranty registration and installation record.
